In Time: Fight Against Cancer

It never crossed our minds that an american movie wherein time becomes a currency and determines length of life would happen to our family. I am Jeanette S. Dagdagan, who lost a father and a husband in less than a year, recently found out that my sister, Olivia A. Sta. Maria has an incurable cancer and would literally need to buy time to be with us longer.

Olivia is a bubbly and happy go lucky sister, a helpful and trustworthy friend and a hardworking optometrist but everything changed last August 2019 when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cholangiocarcinoma or cancer of the bile duct. This type of cancer is quite rare and often fatal. During our consultations, we understood that at this point, we are not being offered with a cure anymore but only a chance to lengthen the probable life span of my sister in such state.

She was given a treatment plan of 4 cycles of chemotherapy with 3 sessions each cycle, together with several oral medications and vitamins, as well as repeated doctor consultations, CT scans, and laboratory examinations. Due to her health condition, she is unable to work and fund her treatments. Our current finances can only do as much to fund her first cycle of chemotherapy.

We are now humbly asking for help from those who have kind and helpful hearts to share any amount for my dearest sister's treatment. We also ask for prayers of healing and strength as we try to overcome a new obstacle in life less than a year after we lost a loved one.
