Campaign Story
Despite being a self-confessed entomophobe (fear of one or more insect species) and nomophobe (fear of being out of mobile phone contact) I have elected to go on a 4 week expedition to Sri Lanka!
Starting on the 7th of June this year I will be travelling to a town called Ambalangoda in the south-west of Sri Lanka. Here I will be voluntering in an Orphanage. Some of the children in the orphanage have lost one or both of their parents while others have come from broken homes or single parent households who are unable to provide education or food for their children.
During my time in Sri Lanka I will be helping the children (who range from 6 to 16 years of age) by providing essential care and teaching valuable life skills. This would primarily entail teaching the children english, organising games and activites and teaching them about personal hygiene.
In order to be able to do this, i need as much help as I can get! The financial aspect of volunteering in a developing country turns out to be quite costly with all things included and it is here that I ask you for help. Just a few euro from family, friends and neighbours alike can enable me to travel to Sri Lanka in order to aid the orphanage to the best of my ability!

Here is a run-down of what all the money I hope to raise will be used for, in detail. I have set the goal of my fundraising to an even 1800 euro. Although I might not acheive this goal, every cent helps - and anything that is raised and not used will be going to the Orphanage!
