I Am My Kenya

In kenya, quite a large number of children are forced to go to school in dilapitated classrooms or in extreme circumstances, under trees. Despite having leaders who promise to upgrade these public institutions, nothing is done. We, as the people are directly affected by this and decided to step up and build modern schools where there are none or upgrade where dilapidated ones are. Our goal is to make an impact by building 47 modern schools, 47 being the number of counties in Kenya, 1 school per county. We believe through such an initiative, we will enable communities realize what they can do for themselves without expecting government to do it. we need all kinds of assistance for this campaign; there are people who have offered land to build schools on, architects who have offered to design the schools for free, individuals who have donated thousands in building material, money, time etc. Your contribution will go a long way in making this dream to get children from under the tree and into an actual classroom a reality.
