How fathers can make a change – a book about working with fathers

I have been working with expecting and new fathers since 2004 i father's groups. The purpose is to involve, engage and inspire fathers to take part in caregiving and house hold work from start. This is a good method to empower women, give children safer lives and reduce violence in families.

Now I want to summarize the experiences and knowledge from this work in order to expand the method, the work and conduct projects in an international context.

The book I have in mind is a curriculum and a tutorial on how to work in the right way with fathers group's. But it will also contain findings, research and facts about fatherhood in different aspects but mostly from a gender and health perspective.

Since also have conducted fathers groups projects in South Africa, Burkina Faso, Poland and Lettland I know there is a need for engaging men in fatherhood to make societies more equal, empower women and reduce violence.

This could be the material to use for me as well as for others who want to conduct projects and train trainers.

I need to raise money for this:

• Time for research, writing and proofreading
• Time for translation to english. I'm Swedish and need someone who can translate this project to english properly.

After that I need to market the book and the project. I will also launch a website in ordet to give the project more speed.
