HOUSING + TRANSITION transgender emergency fund

Hello, friends,

My name is Vik. I'm a 20-year-old transmasculine sapphic person from Serbia, I'm an animation student in my final year of studies.

Growing up, transitioning and just being queer in a country like Serbia is incredibly difficult. I always knew I was different but I never had the proper language to express it. After struggling through the final years of high school, I started the grueling process that is transitioning in Serbia back in 2022 and finally got approved for HRT by the end of 2023.

I can honestly say this is the happiest I've ever been in my entire life; mentally, socially, physically...

Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worst. I started taking HRT testosterone without the knowledge of my unsupportive family. They found out and intend to kick me out on the street because of it.

I'm starting this fundraiser as an emergency fund. I need another few months to complete my degree and I need to be able to sustain myself until I finish my studies. The schedule of my lectures and workload makes it difficult to secure a stable or consistent source of income while I'm still studying and that's where this money will be of great help.

This money will go primarily towards FOOD, HOUSING, and my transition as well as making sure I'm safe until I can secure a more stable source of income. My country isn't safe for visibly queer people and my legal documents make it difficult to remain stealth so, I need to be able to change them AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

The goal set for this campaign also accounts for the cost of the final months of my schooling (2000 euros) and the cost of my degree (300 euros).
