Hoping to pursue lifelong dream of embarking on a career within the sports industry

Dear kind souls,

I would be very grateful if you are willing to take some time to read the long explanation below on the rationale behind this important personal fundraising campaign.

I am currently working for a PR consulting firm, having graduated with a finance degree in 2016. Since my graduation in 2016, I have worked in three different full-time jobs up till now but have yet to feel any semblance of satisfaction and happiness at work for the past three years. I acknowledge that I may have made a mistake for ignoring my dreams and personal happiness by gravitating towards a realistic career field instead.

Thus, I decided that I would pursue my lifelong dream of being involved professionally within the sports industry. I have already taken the first step towards this goal by completing an online diploma in sports management. Besides the love from my family, one of the few factors that has always driven me forward when facing different obstacles and hardships has been my passion for sports; whether its playing or watching different types of sports. I want to be a part of this fledgling industry not just because of my passion for it, but also because I am a firm believer that sports can be the glue that brings people from different backgrounds and cultures together in a competitive but peaceful environment, while slowly dissipating all hateful sentiments caused from racial stereotyping and propagandas.

During my three years of working experience, I have sacrificed most social activities and excursions with friends and family to ensure I could potentially save up enough money to fund my own future studies in the field of sports management as I do not want to further burden my family who has funded my undergraduate studies and done so much for me all the time. However, the salaries earned by relatively inexperienced employees in Malaysia are predominantly low and has created a wrench in my plans to personally fund my own studies fully.

I am creating this fundraising page in the hopes of attaining some financial assistance to help fund a Masters degree in sports management. I am hoping to begin the course in the second half of next year (2020) and will start applying for courses in the coming few months. To clarify to everyone that I am dedicated to this goal, I have already planned which courses I am hoping to be accepted for. Plan A would be the Msc in Sports Management at University College Dublin, plan B would be the MBA in Sports Management at the Catholic University of Murcia and plan C would be the Msc in Sports Management at Molde University College.

I sincerely hope that I'll get this opportunity to embark on this life-changing opportunity as I am determined to land a career that I'm passionate about and where I could potentially be in a position to contribute towards the betterment of society.
