In the early hours of February 25th, my cousin Jeryl Monique Rustia was rushed to the Emergency Room at Fe Del Mundo Medical Center on Banawe St, Quezon City. She was experiencing complications from labor. By morning, she underwent a C-section to ensure the safety of both her and her baby. Her baby is safe at home with his father. Monique is known for her loving, caring nature and her selflessness.
However, her journey took a critical turn post-delivery. Monique experienced severe complications including bradycardia, hypotension, oxygen desaturation, and elevated blood glucose levels. She was immediately transferred to intensive care, where she was intubated and put on mechanical ventilation.
Further tests revealed that Monique tested positive for COVID-19, adding another layer of complexity to her already delicate condition. Now, she continues to fight for her life in the ICU, with her consciousness severely impaired.
Monique's hospital bills have reached 1.8 million pesos, and we're struggling to manage the daily bills of around 150,000 pesos due to her being in intensive care.
She has always been there for others, and now she needs our support. Your donation can help cover the extensive medical expenses incurred during her emergency cesarean section, ongoing ICU care, and treatment for her multiple health issues.
Every contribution, regardless of size, brings hope to Monique and her family during this challenging time. Let's rally together and support Monique as she bravely fights for her health and the chance to be reunited with her precious newborn.
