We help women and children in EU victims of domestic violence

Our activities have started a few years ago when I’ve learned a life drama of my close friend. Being a spouse of a greek diplomat she moved with her husband and a little daughter to Asia where for several years she was isolated from society, financial and medical support, means of communication having become a victim of domestic abuse, physical violence, being psychologically destroyed, scared and ashamed to talk about her problem,

in the end she was left in the street without documents, ways to survive, having no legal support even from the Embassy and separated from her child.

Finally when we met in Europe she has managed to go though divorce, multiple court hearings, huge legal expenses trying to get back her daughter which was kidnapped by her father and being held abroad in miserable life conditions suffering apart without her mommy’s loving heart….months of expectations, pain and tears, years of psychotherapy after….

This story however was over it made me cry, made me talk after many years of silence about my childhood, where I suffered from physical violence of my father… it made me act and join our mutual efforts to help those who are facing all kinds of domestic abuse because everyone deserves to have home without violence, to have Home of Love

Unfortunately a statistic rate of domestic violence victimisation is horrifying all over the world.

Most of victims due to various reasons cannot talk about their problem. Many of them won’t never talk anymore…Among these statistics there are shocking numbers of suicides.

We CAN and we MUST act TOGETHER, offering quick and effective legal and psychological support, reacting and helping those who are not able to protect themselves, who cannot resist violence. Together we can.
