Hide Away Island

I have been in Papua New Guinea for almost 3 years now, and I have learned a lot about the country and its culture. People are as friendly as they can be and at times can be very excited whenever they see an expat. I have seen a lot of people and have had different experiences with them, with that said I have met a humble man from East New Britain, He is from the Duke of York Islands, and works for Dredeco PNG a dredging company as a Second Engineer. He has come to seek my aid on how he can help his community to sustain their daily lives. So we came upon an agreement that we turn his Humble Island into one get away resort. A place where you can go and relax, and at the same time learn a lot of History. Our main Goal is to open up the tourism in East New Britain, and Boasting the Beauty of the Duke of York Island as its center attraction. We want to provide a sustainable source of Income for the Islanders and the community surrounding the island, and open up a resort to be able to host and provide exemplary world class services both to Local and International Tourist. Duke of York Island is rich with History and Natural Beauty, a place far from your normal City life, where you can just escape and relax, learn the culture and feed your mind with History. This Island also boast the first ever Methodist church that was built and founded in Papua New Guinea. I have been blessed to work with this people and in return I have been doing everything I can to help them build up and run the Resort. though as it may be known to some, The Countries own Government is on a struggle thus the fund they have promised us has not been released and will not be enough to complete all the necessary equipment, furniture etc. etc. to start up a fully functional resort. This is why I have thought of sourcing it out from All over the world. Travelers, Bloggers, Trend Setters, Young Business Men. I am reaching out you to help the community at the Duke of York Islands, and its four Villages as they have shown how deserving they are to be given a chance to show that they can be hospitable and be professionals when it comes to the hospitality industry. Let us give them a chance and not leave them behind. Like everyone else the people in this Island also deserve something great.
