Help Tofu Beat FIP!

Hello!! My name is Tofu, otherwise known as Mr Tofu (I personally prefer King Tofu), and I'm a one year and 3 month old Siamese kitty from Manila, Philippines.

I am very very spoiled by my parents and I always show my love and appreciation by scratching them or giving cuddles, there is no in-between. Sadly I have been diagnosed with a rare cat virus that attacks young kitties like me -- Feline Infectious Peritonitis, or FIP.

According to my parents, FIP is a mutated form of the feline coronavirus (it's not the same as the one humans get!) which I probably got when I was a kitten. Most cats get to live their lives normally with the coronavirus, while some unlucky cats like me develop FIP. You can read more about this sucky virus here.

I'm lucky that my parents discovered this early because they like taking photos of me everyday. In early April, they noticed that one of my beautiful blue eyes was turning a yellowish green. Bloodwork revealed that I had liver problems and I was anemic, but after one week of medicine I wasn't feeling better. I had a really hard time breathing and I was meowing for my life so they brought me to the vet. The vet said I had lots of fluid in my chest so they stuck a needle in me and drained around 200mL of fluids out (I'm only a 3kg kitty). Sadly the fluid was consistent with FIP and it's probably not going to be the last time I'll need to have my chest drained.

The vet said there is no cure for FIP and the only thing my parents can do for me is to make me as comfortable as I can before I eventually cross the rainbow bridge. It's a good thing my parents are stubborn so they did their own research and found a possible cure for me. Of course there are risks involved, but my parents told me they want to try everything to give me a long, happy life, and they're not ready to let me go ever.

This is great news and we have hope but my medicine is very very expensive. It consists of 3 months of shots, which will total around Php 150,000 (more or less $3000). They already ordered a week's worth of medicine for me, but since my parents are both students, they might need a little help so I can finish my treatment.

Please please help me. If you have any spare change, any amount at all, it would be a great help. I really want to continue living. Please also don't forget to donate to causes geared toward helping one another during this pandemic.
