Noli, 25 years old, our loving son, brother of 6 siblings, a friend, and an exceptional colleague unfortunately suffered a sudden seizure on January 14th at 2 AM, at home while doing his work.

In critical condition, he was transported to ICU where they suspected the cause was ischemic stroke. The blood clot obstructed the blood vessels supplying the blood to his brain causing cerebral thrombosis.

Unfortunately, Skyline Medical Center misdiagnosed Noli's condition, necessitating an immediate hospital transfer to another hospital. Noli was sent to St. Luke's hospital in Quezon City on January 17th, 2022, which specializes in assisting stroke patients rehabilitate.

After doing another MRI scan at St. Luke's, the doctors discovered that the whole left side of Noli's brain had already been damaged and filled with blood clots. He is currently in a comatose state. He also has pneumonia and is being treated in the COVID ICU as a precaution.

According to the doctors, Noli has a chance of recovering, but he will need to be maintained in the ICU, where doctors and nurses will continually monitor him and administer the necessary medication in the hopes of breaking the clots in his brain and allowing his brain to function. Noli is presently in ICU and will remain there indefinitely until he recovers.

The daily cost of an ICU room with all of the essential medicine for recovery is 250,000 PHP per day (5000 USD). Noli is currently in intensive care and will remain there indefinitely till he recovers. So far, the cost of his medical bills has exceed 1.1 million PHP.

A couple of family members have also tested positive for COVID, making it much more difficult for us to care for Noli during these challenging times. We have really limited resources, and we are all knocking in your hearts to help us.

Noli is a young vibrant soul who needs your help and support to save his life from such a life threatening situation that he is in right now. Please help Noli in any way you can to ensure his recovery from this life-threatening situation. Whatever support you may provide is not insignificant in saving his life from a stroke and will be much appreciated.

We are asking for generosity from everyone in this critical need of humanitarian support for Noli, and I really hope you can see it in your hearts to help Noli in any way you can, by making a donation here and sharing the campaign with your friends and families.

All funds raised will be used to cover Noli’s medical expenses.

We will be eternally grateful for all of your donations and support in this campaign to help Noli survive this trauma. We designed a postcard as a token of our and Noli's gratitude, which will be sent to everyone who helped him recover.

Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.

Words about Noli from his family and friends

Noli is such a loving person and a giver. For his family, he always goes above and above. He is trustworthy. He is loyal. Reliable. A dear friend. Brother. And an exceptional colleague. He would put others first before himself, that’s the kind of person he is.

He is a person with such a character. A good listener. Honest, bold and independent. He shared his expertise with anyone who would listen, he worked hard and consistently and he remained a student of life. His ability to give so much in life, without taking. Noli has been a strong advocate for children's rights and the fight against illegal drugs. Noli is a huge animal lover who has six dogs and one cat whom he considers to as his family.

From Noli, we have learnt: to love, to trust, to cherish, to work hard, to dream big and to achieve. From Noli, we have learnt to be determined, to keep going in the face of adversity and to be grateful for all that I have and all that I will ever be.

UPDATE: Noli was declared left brain dead by his doctors 3 days ago but today was a miraculous day for everyone! Noli woke up from his coma, opened his eyes, and began moving his head. The doctor said that while this is a small step forward because Noli's stroke was severe, it is still a big improvement! His body and brain are reacting positively to medications but the rehabilitation will take a long time, according to the doctor. Please keep sending your donations so that Noli can stay in the ICU and continue his recovery. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.
