Help Support Sala Monkey Education Cambodia

Dear Friends of Sala Monkey School Kep,

This is an ongoing fundraising page with the addition of our sports field project! We are fundraising to help support the free education program we provide to 100+ rural children here in Kep.

Sala Monkey is a nonprofit kindergarten and primary education program (English and Khmer) located in Kep, Cambodia. It's only through the generosity of our donors that we are able to continue offering free education. With an ongoing effort to eradicate poverty and uplift the local community.

We have built a modern school facility located in the heart of the rice fields. Our main focus is to provide the rural children of Kep with a 21st-century curriculum and pedagogy. Our students study a wide range of subjects including Science, Social Studies, Character, History, and Mathematics.

Additionally, we hope to provide extracurricular activities for the children as funds permit us to do so. Some of the activities we would like to provide include football, traditional Khmer dance, and swimming lessons/water safety.

We strive to educate the whole child!

We are a donor-supported nonprofit program and your donations are the lifeline for our program. We are grateful for every single donation from $1 to $1,000.

Sports Field Project: We have now cleared a large section of our land behind the school. The forest overgrowth has been cleared, filled in with 10 additional truck loads of dirt, and leveled out to make a flat playing surface. We now need artificial or natural grass for our soccer field (football pitch), and sport court for basketball and volleyball. Additionally, sports equipment, a netted fence along the forest line, and metal roof.
