Colombia is one of the most rich biodiverse countries in the world , finding a priceless biological wealth. However, two main problems have made this privileged position being lost .
Political violence over more than 60 years, have made Colombia the number 2 in IDPs, doing vulnerable country and farmers families moving peasants into slums of the big cities .
Corruption and poor governance allows that large corporations conducted indiscriminate exploitation of the soil, destroying large areas of native forest and wildlife each year.
This is a unique opportunity to purchase a plot of 500 acres of native forest, which was expropriated, but quickly would pass into the hands of corporations that plan to exploit this unspoilt area to obtain minerals . The plot called Hojas Anchas, is located at 76° 9' 48" Longitude, 3° 42' 47" Latitude, 1500 masl to 2200 masl, 16° C to 24° C.
The plan is to purchase this land and give it free to 10 families displaced by violence, to protect it from possible destruction, monitor and develop craft staple crops for survival. In addition, this plot is candidate to get carbon bonds every year.
With that, we will fulfill two objectives : To protect the destruction of native forest land, and save 10 families out from poverty in cities.
