Helping the homeless on the island.

With homelessness being a major problem and after also coming close to facing sleeping on the street myself I always see people who go to sleep night after night on an empty stomach and watching dozens walk by without giving a single penny. As someone who has served this country proudly, I was instilled with selflessness and dignity and I want to be able to brighten up the homeless on this island with a smile with at least a hot meal and a few boxed meals they can save and eat for a couple days. Summer is here and many are so emaciated that without a bottle of water they are in serious danger of dehydration. Even if it is a dollar or ten, it would go towards giving life to the people society has forgotted. We hope to never be in that situation of sleeping in front of a storefront with a flimsy piece of cardboard as a blanket, but if it did happen, we would want someone in some way big or small to extend a helping hand.
