Help Kate do her first steps
Kate is a 4 year old girl who suffers from a very rare disease called Tatton Brown Rahman Syndrome. Apart from it's rareness Kate ha a mutation that was never literatured before make her the only one worldwide. Kate already undergo 3 different surgeries in her early years, with an intensive one- open heart surgery when she was only 1 year old.
Kate has physical and intellectual disability and needs constant therapies to improve and achieve her milestones. Unfortunately there isn't any cure for this syndrome and Kate's medicine is only intensive therapy she does everyday. With this program we are hoping that one day Kate will have an independent life.
She works really hard and always willing to learn. She does around 3 hours of therapy a day and she goes even abroad for more intensive therapy.
Kate's therapy sessions, are usually compared to the same training sessions done by athletes to compete in the olympics. This is to gain miscle strength and be able to achieve her goals
These therapy gives kate the possibility that one day she will walk and communicate. Unfortunately these therapies costs a lot so we are inviting you to help us raise the necessary funds to make this possible.
As we are seeing Kate working hard and have some positive results we would like that she will be able to continue benefit from different therapies. This can be done with your generosity and your help
We are very thankful for my niece's progress. We are also very thankful for all your help and support. My dear niece is a warrior .. a fighter an inspiration to all.. she has the will and she will with your help find the way.
Kate's progress can be followed on her facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/KateFerriggi
