Helping Hands for Uncle Cris’ Recovery: Stroke Relief Fund

We are raising funds to help my beloved uncle, who has recently experienced a life-altering event— a stroke. My uncle, whom we affectionately call our Godfather, has always been the backbone of our family. As the sole breadwinner, he has tirelessly worked to provide for his wife and three children, one of whom has special needs. Their love and dedication to one another have been an inspiration to us all.

On that fateful day of May 21, while my uncle was away from his family, he suffered a stroke in his boarding house in Manila. His boardmates and workmates acted swiftly, rushing him to the nearest hospital, where he has remained ever since. It was a sudden and devastating event that left half of his body paralyzed.

The financial burden resulting from his prolonged hospitalization is overwhelming. The medical bills have skyrocketed to a staggering P800,000 pesos, far surpassing what his insurance can cover. Despite our efforts to secure assistance from government programs and non-governmental organizations, the available resources have fallen short of meeting the financial demands.

This is why we turn to you, our dear friends and extended family, in search of hope and support. The funds we raise will not only aid in settling the overwhelming hospital bill but will also go towards the extensive rehabilitation and therapies that are crucial for my uncle's recovery. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy are vital for his journey back to health and, hopefully, to return to work to support his family once again.

Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference in my uncle's life. Your support will provide him with the opportunity to regain his independence, restore his physical abilities, and rebuild the life he worked so hard to create.
