Campaign Story
This is a fundraising call for the medical expenses of my mother.
My mother is currently confined in Asian Hospital in Manila, Philippines. She has been in the hospital for 22 days as of this writing. She had severe bilateral pneumonia and had to be intubated for 11 days. She was in the Intensive Care Unit for 14 days. She was suspected to be infected by the new corona virus and so she was given all Covid-19 treatments and protocols. She was given various kinds of antibiotics and anti-viral medicine, and is still in an isolated room in the hospital. We praise God because she is now extubated and is slowly recovering. She tested negative for Covid-19 thrice and so we might receive only minimal support from the government. She wishes so badly to be discharged from the hospital. She is struggling with the challenges physically, mentally, and emotionally, of being alone and away from family. For my mother to be home, we ask for your help for the medial expenses incurred by her hospitalization. The various medicines given to her, intensive care, etc. amounted to a sum that we, as a family, are trying to raise but with difficulty. We appeal to your generous hearts to give any amount that will be used for her hospitalization bill.

Thank you.
UPDATE: Our mother has been discharged from the hospital in the evening of April 16, 2020. She was hospitalized for 23 days (14 days in the ICU). However, the government/PhilHealth shouldered only 1.3% of the total bill because she tested negative for Covid19 despite being treated as a Covid19 patient. We continue to humbly ask for your help for the payment of the hospitalization bill. We truly appreciate any form of help.
Today, she is at home continuously recovering but still on the 14-day self-quarantine period. Thank you very much.
