Campaign Story
Crispina Alar, or Tita Babes as we fondly call her, is my mom's eldest sibling. Having stayed single by choice, she has served as the second mother to all of her nieces and nephews. Despite her frail health due to asthma, she took turns with my grandma in taking care of us kids whenever one of her siblings needed to work. And when my grandma got sick, Tita Babes was the one who took care of her until her passing.
Now she's the one who needs our help.
She was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago and had undergone a mastectomy but had chosen not to undergo chemotherapy. She has been well until recently. She was hospitalized just last month because of TB and pleural effusion. She was confined for almost a week.
And now she's back at the hospital, in the ICU this time. In just a day, her bill has reached P120,000. With no income and her savings and the family coffers exhausted, we are currently at a loss on how to continue supporting her medical needs. We are reaching out to all our friends and family and to everyone else to help us with our Tita Babes' medical expenses. Any amount will help.
