Greetings! I'd like you to meet Solomon. He's 14 years old. He, like many vulnerable children, suffers severe poverty due to the civil war in northern Uganda.
Solomon lost his father to the AIDS epidemic, and his HIV positive mother was raped by rebels. His family can't afford basic education, and Solomon's future is at risk.
Students in Uganda must pay for their own school fees and supplies, and severe poverty among families like Solomon's is leaving them in a vicious circle of poverty.
The circle must be broken! These innocent children deserve a better future and life. Our organization SOWI (Support Orphans and Women Initiative), a registered Community Based Organization (CBO) No. LGD 000124 is working to provide sustainable education, vocational skills training and empowerment to eradicate poverty in northern Uganda. We are working with twenty families and must pay their tuition THIS MONTH to keep these innocent children in school.
I invite you to join our appeal to help Solomon and other needy children in war-torn northern Uganda secure their future. Please make a donation now to help us directly meet the educational needs of those children who need it most.
