Help Vlad fight his Relapse Leukemia

It was a day in August 2019 that our lives changed forever.

Our only child, Vladimir Aleksander Magapan, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).

To see our child battle with cancer at a very young age was a heartbreaking process but Vlad has endured everything. He has undergone chemotherapy, bone marrow aspirations, intrathecal procedure, and blood and platelet transfusions. He fought really hard during the treatment, his braveness gives us the strength to fight every day.

He’s on the maintenance phase for a year already, but last February 10, 2021, after his scheduled bone marrow aspiration, the doctor shocked us with the results — the cancer cells recurred or relapsed and this time, he must undergo intensive chemotherapy sessions and his case is already considered critical. The management is different as he will be given high dosages of chemo drugs and longer sessions to fight the disease.

This 7-year-old brave little man has nothing in life but a dream to become what he wanted to be. He looks at himself as a successful chef or a doctor to help children fight the same disease as he has.

We know the battle is not yet over and here we are, fighting it all over again. But no matter what, we are willing to walk this difficult road with him, regardless of what it entails.

He has a medicine that costs Php35,000 per vial and he will be needing at least 5 vials for this. Some medications cost more than Php10,000 per vial; and another one costs more than Php3,000 per vial. He will be needing atleast 50 vials He also needs to undergo intrathecal procedure twice a month and bone marrow aspiration. Most medicines require him to be admitted in the hospital. Aside from the medicines, we will be needing also to pay hospital bills. The doctor advised us to start the treatment as soon as possible and we require a large amount of money.

In this regard, we are humbly asking for your prayers and support to aid his treatment. Any monetary amount will be considered a huge help for his medications.
