Campaign Story
I am Vanessa Balmaceda and this is our baby Dwayne Zion, born on May 19, 2019 via normal delivery.
MAY 28 - just 9 days after delivery, baby Zion has shown signs of difficulty in breathing that made us rush him to the hospital.
First findings were Neonatal Pneumonia and jaundice, considering the diagnosis, baby Zion was referred to a Neonatal Specialist and was admitted to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Manila Doctor’s Hospital.
MAY 29 - 11pm his pulse oximeter’s alarm went on signaling that his pulse is fainting.
Seeing him, it was like he’s already exhausted from the things he’s going through. 😭The doctors were called to revive him and I was asked to first step out. My husband and I got very emotional and then we prayed, begging Him to help our little angel. 🙏🏻
Three hours already passed when we were asked to speak with the doctors. Seeing him again after such a terrifying moment, this time linked to several medical apparatus, made me crumble inside. But still, I was very thankful that they were able to revive him.
Our baby Zion is fighting with His help. ☝️
We then spoke to the doctors and we were informed that he is in a critical condition, our little warrior has been diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Disease. He needs to undergo surgery as soon as possible.
Seeing my baby in pain and hearing all this information made me feel like hot and cold water was being poured over me. He’s only days old and already suffering like this 😭
June 3 - Welcome to the Christian World, Dwayne Zion!
We decided to have him baptised.
June 4 - With Lord’s mercy, he’s recovering little by little. He was extubated, the ventilator was no longer needed. A tiny but very good progress for Zion. So proud of our little warrior! 👼🏻

HELP 1500 Hungry Kids in India The Feed India Foundation started out trying to help 200 hungry orphans in the immediate in India. Feed India a team of volunteers have been feeding these children twice a week but, as word spreads, more and more hungry children are arriving. Some of them are walking 17km to get to the resource centre for a meal. Recently, numbers have been over 1500. This is a huge undertaking to give food and hope to so many starving children. We gratefully acknowledge the support we have received so far but none of us envisaged the numbers swelling from 1200 to 1500+. All of them need a meal and none should be turned away hungry. Please help us to continue this vital work. $10 will feed one child for a year (2 meals a week atm) This is such a small amount per child.... but 1500+ children.... it soon becomes a real challenge... thank you for your generosity
