Campaign Story
Hello, this fundraiser is for my pet cat Tacquito that we had since he was born. We have other cats as well and they are well-fed and taken care of.
Tacquito was diagnosed with cystic kidney disease that could possibly lead to liver failure as well added to the stones in his gall bladder. It's his third day confined today and the most we could get are updates from the vet since the lockdown of COVID-19 prevents us to have daily visits, considering that the nearest vet that could accommodate him is a city away and current laws would not allow us to pass through regularly.
This morning we received a text message from the vet that if he doesn't improve in 2 weeks time, she highly suggests that Tacquito has to be euthanized.
This is a very hard and emotional time for my family because we love every single cat we have in our home. To add salt to the wound, we can't even visit him as much as we want to because of the lockdown laws implemented in the Philippines as of now.
The problem so far: Aside from Tacquito's declining health, my single parent mother is a dentist by profession, which means she isn't earning anything during the lockdown period and she has to have enough money to purchase overpriced PPE once the lockdown is over. What she has earned for the past few months is only enough to buy a few months worth of cat supplies that include cat food, cat sand, and treats sufficient for everyone to be well-fed.
The money raised here will only go to cover the prolonged confinement of Tacquito in the vet's clinic, any medication he needs, and possibly (and I hope not), the fees to cover for his euthanasia as well.
Any donations further than the goal, assuming it even gets a little bit will go to the other cats in our family as well.
I will be posting updates in this fundraiser to ensure everyone who donates will know where their money is going.
I hope Tacquito will recover even if the chances seem bleak. His family is waiting for him.

Lab results in
Update posted by Theo Ignacio at 09:57 amThankfully the vet's initial diagnosis of cystic kidney got debunked by the lab results. The vet was skilled enough to remove all the gallstones and what's left right now is the blood clots in Tacquito's bladder. He is recovering and the chances for euthanasia should now be gone. Again, thank
