HELP US FIGHT FOR NANAY GRACE’S LIFE

Jolly, free-spirited and thoughtful.

If there were three words that sum up (Mom) Nanay Grace, it’s these three but lately, we have not seen much of those traits in her as she battles for her life brought about by diabetes, foot amputation, stroke, visual impairment, depression, CKD5, pneumonia, and COVID. And she is only 57.

Except for the last three conditions, she has been fighting for eight years already with numerous medication, several operations, countless hospitalizations, and dialysis three times a week. Just one illness and its corresponding treatment can already break the bank. Her hospital bills are always in six digits. We are losing the fight in the financial aspect as we have already exhausted any help and benefit we can get from the government like our congressman, PCSO, DSWD, OVP, and Philhealth. Friends, family, and relatives have helped us so much already in spiritual, emotional, moral, financial and emotional support. On behalf of Nanay, thank you so much. I wish my letter can end here but the struggle continues.

Almost a month ago, Nanay was admitted again because of cellulitis or gangrene debridement. Her bedsores are getting worse. Turning her from side to side has become almost useless and the complications are not stopping as the doctor told us they’re the natural "course of path" of her condition. She has been in hospital's isolation for 21 days because of Covid and that hit us greatly financially. Right now, we are waiting for her to have negative RT-PCR swab test results so doctors can proceed with her bedsores debridement procedure.

In all humility, our family is once again asking for prayers and financial help so we can provide Nanay Grace with the best health care in the leading towards a full recovery. We continue to believe otherwise we won’t be writing to you asking if you can help us reach out to others who can help us put the smile back in Nanay’s face and let the world see the jolly, free-spirited, and thoughtful person that she is.
