Join Us to Build a Creative Permaculture Ecosystem: The Cornucopia Project
In a world where disconnection from nature and community is increasingly common, the Cornucopia Project offers a unique opportunity to rediscover our ties to the earth and each other. Join us in building not just a permaculture ecosystem, but a hub for creative exploration and sustainable living.
The Cornucopia Project
The Cornucopia Project is born out of a need to exist outside of the context of urban landcsape and modern society structures. Based on the principles of permaculture that declare harmony between existing ecosystems as the only way to abundance, we wish to create a self-sustainable ecosystem where people and other forms of biodiversity co-exist as a whole.
Our vision carries a two-fold purpose: the creation and conservation of an ecosystem that depends exclusively on renewable sources of energy and reinforces the planet with the invaluable elements of life (oxygen, water etc) - AND the inducement of artistic research and/or production as a fundamental component of the process of life.
Imagine a space where artists and eco-enthusiasts collaborate on projects that range from sustainable architecture designs to performances that echo the rhythms of nature. Your support brings this vision to life.
About us...
The initiative of the Cornucopia Project was taken by two dancers from northern Greece, currently based in Thessaloniki. Our names are Konstantinos Kotsos and George Panopoulos, and we found ourselves tangled in this matrix of fast-paced contemporary life in the city. After a lot of self-reflection we came to realize that this context, which blocks most aspects of our personal and artistic self-expression, is not compatible to our true spirit and nature.Hoping and taking for granted that we are not the only ones who feel this way, we wish to create a natural safe space for artists of all kinds, genders, races and cultures.
Like us, if you've ever felt the call to step away from the urban rush and reconnect with your creative and natural roots, the Cornucopia Project is your invitation.
Stage 1
To get things started we purchased a piece of land of around 4.000 sq.m. situated in a location close to a small village called Apsalos in the northwest of Greece. At the moment, we are designing the habitat and preparing the soil for welcoming the first trees and waters. In detail, the funds received from this campaign will help cover the following expenses:
- purchase of land (3.000€)
- legal fees & taxes (850€)
- chemical soil tests (100€)
- fencing/enclosure (2800€)
- connection to local irrigation system (550€)
Our vision cannot be completed without your help!!! Every donation, no matter the size, propels us closer to our goal. Even if you can't contribute financially, sharing our vision with your network is an invaluable way to support us. Together, we can create a legacy of sustainability and creativity. Spreading the word and sharing the link to this campaign on Facebook, Instagram or any other social media platform will be deeply appreciated!
