HELP US BUY A PICKUP TRUCK TO SUPPORT A SOCIAL ENTERPRISE.SE.

Hello there, I'm writing to introduce myself and the campaign that we are launching with my friend Florence. My name is Amos, an entrepreneur currently working and living in the UAE. We are running a social business together with Florence. Her heart remains committed to Uganda, and she has aspirations to help pave a way for fellow Ugandans. Florence is a hard-working, thoughtful, and extraordinarily generous young woman. At so many steps of her journey, she has looked for ways not only to advance herself but even more so, to lift the people around her. Earlier in 2020, together with her, we mobilized $1300 to feed 230 Ugandan families in a time of crisis and that was her idea. This experience helped grow our passion to do something on a sustained scale. We are interested in ways to pursue a social mission without being overwhelmingly dependent on donations and grants. We seek to develop a farming business that could provide revenue to serve a mission of supporting and educating youth. (currently, our mission statement is: "To ensure that adequate care and support is provided to both orphans and vulnerable children, abandoned by parents and families, and assisting such children to be educated and trained to be successful and useful members who can contribute productively to their societal development.") So far, our social farming business is at an early stage. However, we have secured the ability to use 35 acres of land for five years, and also owns 1 acre. We have explored different approaches and currently, we are focusing on raising pigs and chickens due to profitability. Florence she is in Uganda working the farm, and I am helping to plan and coordinate from afar. Our chickens are now laying eggs but we are having difficulties reaching our markets we have been using a rented pickup truck but now it's becoming so expensive for us to continue using the same.
