Help us build a classroom for the kids

SCHOOL OF HOPE is the name of the pre-school building we aim to build. 

This project was first presented by my friend, Helen Gemma Vallejos,during the Youth Peace Ambassador Training Workshop held in Penang, Malaysia last December 2011.

Current Condition

The existing daycare center is located around 5 KILOMETERS. away from Sitio Li'bawan(community). The children as young as 3 yrs. old walk as early as 6 AM to reach school before 8 AM for the start of the class. But because of the danger and difficulty that the pupils are facing the parents decided to have the class closer to home. They are now conducting classes in the community church which is unfortunately not  'fully-built' and unsuitable for learning

Community Impact

Rather than just providing students with school supplies this project will ensure that more people will benefit and the attainment of basic education: reading, writing and arithmetic will be available to the community for a long time. Education will be the most powerful advantage we can give to everyone for them to move forward and help them improve their lives.

Why should you help?

I cannot offer you anything in return but one thing is for sure, if you help in the accomplishment of this project a lot of kids with their family will be thankful to you and will be praying for you. 

Please think about this famous quotation: We make a living by what we get but we make a life by what we give. We all need something and we tend to feel insecure but consider this: rather than comparing yourself with someone who has more, why not compare yourself with someone who has less? We are more blessed that we think and we all have the ability to help others.
