Help For Spay and Neuter of our Cats

I started adopting stray cats loitering on the premises of the subdivision last year. They were hungry, thin, sickly, and hapless. I pitied them that I decided to feed and raise them as my own. It started with a preggy cat, then she gave birth to 2 kittens (now her 2 kittens are 10 months old that my kids name them Uno and Hina). Little did I know that Moshinga (mother cat) multiply fast. Four months ago, she got preggy again with 6 cute fur kittens. Then after 2 months, she got preggy again but had a miscarriage the other day.

Aside from Moshinga, I adopted 2 more cats, a male, and a female, just the same these cats were loitering around the subdivision crying and hapless. So I have to take them. We named them Nami and Blackgold. Blackgold gave birth last January with 5 kittens.

Recently, 2 male cats are coming to our premises asking for food. I have no choice but to feed them. All in all, I have a total of 13 cats.

In the past couple of months, I learned that every month there is a cycle that cats have a “heat” period. It is their mating period. Since this is an innate need of a cat, what I do is not to let the female cats go out of the house and I don’t let the male cat enter the house except during their feeding time.

I feel that I am depriving these cats of their innate need to mate, hence, I come to realize that female cats need to be spayed and likewise the male cats to undergo neuter.

I have a total of 3 female cats and 4 male cats. Spay and neuter cost P4,500.00 that already includes their antibiotics. I need a total amount of P31,500.00 (4,500x7)
