Help this Poor Man to fight A Heart Surgery

Story of Akramul Haque:-

Akramul Haque, A young 40 years old man, my elder cousin, suffering from a cardiac problem, one valve of his heart has blocked, & needs to be operated. He belongs to below poverty line. He is the only earning member of his family. He is a daily wages earner doing a labour work in a miniscule way. There are 4 members in his family, including his wife & a 5year old daughter & 1 & 1/2 years old son.

In the year 2009, suddenly he had a fever, swelling of his face, hand & leg with a breathing trouble. Then he went for a check-up at Jalpaiguri , where he reisdes . A local general Physician has been consulted & Some medicine has been prescribed. After some clinical procedures e.g. ECG, Echo-2D, he has diagnosed with a rheumatic heart disease with severe mitral stenosis large left atrium. From a very early age he was suffering from rheumatic pain but as because of his poor financial condition he has been left with no medical treatment. Since 2009 he was on the medication, but the situation has been deteriorated day by day.

On 2011, his health condition was became critical & again he was been performed some diagnostic procedure to check the current scenario of his health. After those procedures the doctor of the R.N Tagore Hospital, Kolkata, DR. D Bhattachryya, Cardiologist, has declared that the blockage of his heart is increasing day by day. The doctor has advised for a surgery and prescribed some medicine for temporary relief.

After few days of having those medications, he was forced to stop all the medicines as he was not capable to buy his medicines as till that time he was become an unemployed man, due to his ailment. The scope of the surgery which the doctor has been prescribed seems like beyond imagination for the Haque family. The surgery costs huge amount, which they are incapable to arrange. The main bread earner of the family was almost invalid in order to earn their daily bread & butter. The little amount like $2/$3 approx. which both Mr. & Mrs.Haque has earned while doing a low class labour job, used to spent for the food for the children. My brother, Akramul Haque’s life was becoming a miserable one day by day.

Now, for the last few months his normalcy has been affected. He has become a fragile & bed ridden man who cannot do any kind of work whatsoever to survive his or his family. His ailment has affected his children in all manners, he is not able to feed & foster his own children. They don’t get any proper food or education.

Now is time he has to undergo the surgery or else he will not survive. The condition of his heart has reached at such a situation that it doesn’t work properly, the blockage is spreading the atrium & my brother is not able to breathe properly, his pulse rate is decreasing. The living is becoming a pain for him.

We need $7000 for the surgery & for all the post-op procedures, & some money for the future of the children. If by grace of God My brother will recover from this condition, he will not be able to do the kind of work he used to do. We need this money not only for the treatment of my brother, but also we need to look after the future of those two children who is nowhere near to get any nurturing from their family.
