Heatechs is a new Lebanese startup that manufactures an add-on accessory to mattresses using a special type of material capable of charging heat from any heat sources and releasing it over a period of 6 to 7 hours. Due to the corruption and insufficient support, Syrian refugees in Lebanon suffer from extreme cold winter nights which forces them to keep their stove on at night to stay warm. This issue has caused multiple fires in refugee camps and the death of many including children. Heatechs will benefit from the energy released by the stoves during the day to charge the product. Once it is fully charged, they can turn off their stoves (or any heating source) which will help reduce the fuel consumption of the stoves at night and keep the refugees safe and warm without harming the environment.

Recently, Heatechs has won the biggest social entrepreneurship award in the middle east given by HULT Prize Lebanon in collaboration with Bloom Bank and Banque du Liban. We aim to provide as many products as we can before the winter ends.
