Help the Endallah Medical Clinic-Tanzania Africa

Our volunteers focus will be to build a staff house for the local Doctor (Dr. Wilson) who currently lives in the nearby school house for the Endallah medical clinic in Karatu, Tanzania. There are no staff quarters for this clinic or volunteers. We will also try to repair and fix some of the medical clinic's damage where it needs it the most. In addition, while work is being done on the building and clinic, our medical volunteers will be providing free medical checkups and immunizations for local children. The work we complete on the clinic will do much to help them receive what we consider basic medical care and will increase their chances of survival when they need treatment. To put it into perspective, estimates indicate that Tanzania loses one woman every hour to pregnancy related complications (National Alliance of Global White Ribbon Survey, 2007.) What we can accomplish will go a long ways towards changing that cold statistic.
