My name is Rob Jordan. I suppose that most of you know that I live in the small town of Jocotitlán in central Mexico. The local government recently donated a parcel of land to be used as a dog refuge. This land was originally designated a dog park but was rarely used by town residents. We have a growing problem in Jocotitlán with stray dogs, and puppies everywhere. (I myself have adopted several dogs from the street that live with me.) We now have 16 puppies and several adult dogs in the refuge, but there are more in need.

I myself have just recently become involved in the project, helping in the care and feeding daily and most recently participating in a local fundraising event. I'm reaching out to you for help, my friends in the USA. With the exchange rate of 1 dollar equaling 20 pesos, even a small donation will go a long way.

What we hope to do with the project is to help these poor street dogs -get them adopted, or at least a home where they can live out their years. These noble animals deserve better than to live out a life of misery and disease searching for scraps to eat in the garbage. Won't you please help me to help them?

Donations will be applied to:

*Building materials for enclosures
*Medicine (vaccinations, etc.)
*Sterilizations
*Blankets (Winter is coming, temperatures up here in the mountains fall below zero at night.)
