Help Support the Crew of Infinity Mountainbiking by starting up a Frozen Food business

Dear Everyone,

The past 17 months have been a very challenging and difficult time for most people. The COVID19 pandemic has changed so much in our everyday lives. Also here in Bali, many things we took for granted are no longer possible or very limited.

Being in the hospitality industry. Infinity Mountainbiking, has been very heavily affected by the pandemic. As Indonesia's borders closed by the end of March 2020, we were forced to temporarily close down and now all of our activities are reduced to an absolute minimum. To put things in perspective, Until 2019, August has always been our busiest month where we successfully guided around 18-20 people per day. Since the lockdown started 2020 March 20 we have guided around 20 people in total.

We were always hoping to resume our tours around this time (August 2021), but instead, we are in partial lockdown again and now it's looking to be earliest March 2022. And that is if all goes well! So we are basically back where we started 17 months ago :(

We were able to keep employing some of our crew but by now we had to let go of almost everyone (35 people) and most of our staff members have returned to their villages. Needless to say, it's been a very difficult 17 months for us personally as well and it doesn't look like things will improve soon.

We are going to buy the harvest directly from the local farmers - many friends and family of Infinity staff - and also involve some of our crew in the production process and delivery of the frozen fruit and veggies. We are looking to produce and sell frozen juice ice cubes, frozen smoothies, frozen yogurt bars, frozen fruit and vegetables, and frozen soup. We will create our own label and sell B2B (where we place our own branded freezers in consignment to various resellers) and B2C directly online. We strongly believe that there is a market for this. The frozen food business is huge in Indonesia (and yes most people - of our target market - have a freezer, as a friend was asking :). Our project will be named: Frozen Vitamins - Healthy Frozen Foods.

We feel bad to ask but we need help starting up this project. We don't just want to ask for money but in order to help finance everything, we would like to pre-sell Infinity Mountainbiking day tours at our regular price of US$99 per person. We will give you a gift voucher that can be used for yourself or can be passed on to other people as well (with no time limit). We realize that not everyone has plans to come to Bali in the coming years and of course smaller - or larger - donations are also very much appreciated and will receive our ever gratitude!

We will be posting the whole process of the start-up online on our social media pages (both Infinity and Frozen Vitamins) , it will be an amazing project to follow. Again Infinity Mountainbiking will bounce back but have to face the fact that even when reopening next year (2022) we will probably be at 30% of pre-covid numbers. Full recovery is not expected until 2024.
