Help support Inid and Orphaned children in Uganda

Please help me feed 34 Orphaned and 10 other children from needy families who cannot care for their own. Due to lack of work caused by Covid restrictions, we are in a desperate need of food. Please help us stay afloat until businesses are able to operate again.

My life story~

My name is Nuwagaba Inid and I am currently caring for 34 orphaned children and I help feed 10 or more Children from local families that can’t support their own. I'm a lover of God and I work hard to clothe, feed and educate these precious Children all on my own!

I was born in a small village called Migeera in Nakasongola District. I lost my father at the age of 4 and the mother only 3 years later leaving me an orphan. I was taken in by a relative who never treated me like a human being, so I decided to run away in order to save my life.

As I was searching for food and where to stay, I met a woman by the name of Mrs Margaret, who was kind and took me and I became like her own daughter! I truly treasure Mrs Margaret to this day for her kindness as she did the best she could to educate me on a basic level, but she did not have the money to continue. Instead I was able to be trained to become a hairstylist just as my adoptive mother is. (Woman after my own heart!) I have been working in a salon until COVID hit and we were shut down. Our salon didn't make it through the shutdown and had to close its doors for good.

How I started taking care of orphaned children - I met a young boy who had nowhere to turn to, and knowing his struggle personally, I brought him home. After a few months, I brought another homeless child home and my boyfriend I was living with was not willing to help care for these children as they were not his own, so he asked me to leave or drop the children.

That's when I made the decision to dedicate my life to raise orphaned children! This mission was put in my heart by God and I currently live with & support 34 amazing kids! When COVID hit, I lost my job at the salon and could no longer afford food, clothing and rent. Churches are also still closed, and the situation is really bad in terms of getting food for them all.

But I'm always fighting to take care of them! I decided to not give up on these children as they only have me & my story is not so different from theirs. I trust fully that God will continue to provide for them and this is where YOU come in!!

I'm currently working at a farm in exchange for food. But it take me about $100 a week to feed them all, and it just hasn’t been enough!

I'm seeking financial help to keep them afloat through this COVID crisis until I can resume work at a salon. ANY amount will help me keep the home over their heads, clothes on them, and food in their bellies!
