Help Sheryl in Her Fight Against Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML)

Dear family and friends,

As you may know, our dearest cousin, Sheryl, was diagnosed with CML (Chronic Myeloid Leukemia) in 2012. She took an oral chemotherapy drug Hydroxyurea temporarily to lower the number of her white blood cells. Thereafter, she was prescribed to take Nilotinib (Tasigna) which she took for 5 years. However, in 2016, Sheryl's medications had to stop because of her pregnancy. But her daughter Alexa has become her source of strength and inspiration to move forward since then. Since her pregnancy in 2016 until the present time, she hasn't taken any medication for CML.

But times get really tough. Our dear Sheryl lost her job due to the pandemic. As a single mom who solely provides for her daughter and who has just recently lost her job, it is extremely difficult for her to provide for her daughter's needs and her personal medical needs. At the moment, Sheryl has to take the chemo drug Nilotinib (Tasigna) as a maintenance drug 4x a day which costs P673.76 per tablet. That would be P16,170.24 in just one month. Also, she has to undergo a BCR-ABL determination test at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute that costs P15,990.

With this, we are knocking on your generous hearts to help us pool funds to cover the cost of Sheryl's medications and laboratory tests as we, her family, know we can only do so much but still might not be enough.
