Campaign Story
This is to fundraise for young Seán Mari who has been given a great opportunity to represent his club in New York in October, one of a few selected to travel to represent Ireland at the European Championships. Sean's goal is to get as much experience as possible in the next four years and then qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Sean was born a little fighter.. premature 10 weeks early he had a tough fight from the start.
From then all he ever wanted to do was box. He starting training in a boxing club at the age of 9 and has never stopped.
He won his first Inter County Title and National Title at age 11, weight 27kg's. He has gone on to win 10 Dublin Titles and 5 National Titles.
Although he won the 2016 National Cadet Title at 42kg, he was under the weight category (the lowest weigh at European level is 46kg)
