Help Save Michael’s Heart

One day after Michael’s birthday, he woke up feeling dizzy, cold and sick. He tried to rest and get some sleep but that didn’t help so much. He thought he was just tired, but two days later his father was speeding through one end of the city to the other trying desperately to get him to the ER. When they checked for his blood pressure, he didn’t have any. When they checked for his heartbeat, it was clocking at 200 to 250 beats per minute.

The normal heart rate for a person is 60-100 beats per minute.

Michael’s heart is misfiring so badly, even in sleep while in the ICU it becomes erratic and dangerous because of an arrhythmia. He needs an Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator—a device similar to a pacemaker that will send electricity to his heart to correct its beating when it starts acting up again. Without this, he could collapse anytime and anywhere without warning.

His family needs help to raise funds to obtain the device and save his life. He won’t be able to live without it and they badly need help.
