Maki is a 3-month old persian cat living with her fur mommy Kat and his fur brother Miho.
He was diagnosed with Feline Infectious Anemia (FIA) A disease caused by a kind of bacteria that attaches itself to red blood cells causing a cat's immune system to attack its own red blood cells rculating red blood cells which leads to weakness, inappetance, lethargy, depression, splenomegaly, weight loss, pallor, often a fluctuating fever and sometimes sudden death.
Maki has been hospitalized for four days and was given antiobitics (Doxycycline) and Epoetin to help increase his red blood cell production. He has been discharged but will need to undergo tests again and be put under antiobitc therapy for a minimum of 21 days.
I unfortunately cannot keep on funding Maki's medical bills but is very keen to extend his life. Maki is a fighter so please help us raise funds until he gets better.
