My name is Roger Casugay. I am 27 years old, a professional longboarder, and national Philippine athlete. I had the opportunity to compete in the 2019 SEA Games where I earned the gold medal. It is my goal to continue refining my surfing skills and compete more frequently on the international level.
I have been invited to one of the biggest international surf competitions – the Mexilogfest! Being able to attend would mean I will be able to compete with some of the best in the world.
The Mexilogfest will be held in Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico on April 19-28, 2022. This competition brings hundreds of the top competitive single-fin traditional longboarders from all corners of the world to surf the best waves in Mexico, with the mission to leave a positive trace with the local community. Past attendees include: Kaniela Stewart, CJ Nelson, Kevin Skvarna, Kai Takayama, and many more amazing surfers. It would be an absolute honor be the first to represent the Philippines and go head-to-head with talent and skill of this caliber!
It is no mystery that making this dream a reality will not be easy, but I am up for the challenge. That said, I cannot do it without your support! The greatest expense will be airfare + baggage, but I must also acquire funds for airport transfer, accommodations, and food.
Please consider donating… EVERYTHING HELPS!
Thank you .
