Carriacou Animal Hospital is an independent non-profit, organization that provides preventative and basic health care to small animals. We are the only professional veterinary care for the dogs and cats on the island of Carriacou, which is provided by volunteering veterinarians and vet-nurses. We offer a spay and neuter program for dogs and cats, as well as routine veterinary care, health examinations, medical treatment and general surgery . For more information about our charity, visit our website (www.carriacouanimalclinic.com) or our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/CarriacouAnimalHospital/)
The accommodations for our charity Carriacou Animal Hospital are located in an apartment, which has been last updated by its owner in the 70ies (almost 50 years ago)! The bedrooms and the bathroom need a paint job and fresh tiling. Some of the ceiling is falling off, doors and furniture are falling apart, some of the household appliances are on their last leg and the shower control broke. Since the owner is not willing to make any investments in the apartment, we take things into our own hands to make working and living at our clinic more comfortable for our dear volunteers.
While we have handy volunteers and friends, who are helping us build new beds and donate many man hours for the remodeling, we still need to raise some funds for supplies and a few appliances, such as:
- wood, screws and glue for beds and shelves
- two new mattresses
- paint and painter supplies
- shower hardware and plumber work
- simple washing machine
- kitchen appliances and equipment
We appreciate your help in making a difference in the daily life and work at Carriacou Animal Hospital, so we can accommodate our volunteering veterinarians and vet-nurses. Only with them, we can keep the clinic going and ensure the veterinary care for the dogs and cats in Carriacou.
