There was our home...in the Gaza Strip

Peace be upon you. We are not beggars, but the catastrophe befell us... on January 25, 2024, at seven o’clock in the morning, our house was bombed, and all the memories that we had built, me, my family, my brothers, my married brothers, were scattered, and the memories were scattered, we became without water, and all of us were gone, I mean 30 people. Members of my family are looking for shelter to protect them from the bitter cold and heavy rain.... Our lives have become not like the past. It has become difficult to obtain anything, even the water that was available in our house has become difficult and rare to access...

I will tell you about some of my nine family members. I have two brothers with special needs, Youssef, who is 34 years old, and Afnan, a 30-year-old female. These are human beings like us. They have the right to life. They had a room in the house in which they lived and had fun. They had a bathroom in which they relieved themselves until they relieved themselves. Their path has become difficult because they have special needs. It is not very easy...

As for my mother and father, who are 68 years old, they are old and their heads were gray and their bones were weak. They built the house for us, and throughout their lives they dreamed of building a house. They collected money through work, saving money throughout their work, and when he reached retirement age, he put all the money he had saved into building the house that We were dreaming of him, as my father dreamed, of building the house and then marrying all his children. He did that and was able to see my father’s 25 grandchildren who were living in the same house that had been destroyed and bombed...

The Nakba was not limited to the home only. All of my brothers were working in shops, some of them worked as taxi drivers, and some of them worked in an institution. All of them became jobless because the Nakba was not limited to the home and family only. This is a very big Nakba. Our city, which was beautiful, was destroyed. The whole world is listening in the sector. Gaza, which has been suffering for 16 years from an unjust siege in all aspects of life...

As for me, who is writing the story, my name is Suhaib, who is 28 years old. I graduated from the university after completing a master’s degree in Business administration from one of the universities in the Gaza Strip, and I was successful in everything. When I grew up, I had to build my future and build a house in which to live and get married. Marriage contract on September 10, 2023. After I worked hard throughout my life and at work, and saving my intermittent salary is not permanent, I built and equipped the house and made preparations to prepare the house, including equipment for the kitchen, bedrooms, and everything needed in the house. In return, my fiancée was also preparing for the wedding date, which was scheduled to take place on 11/23. /2023 But there is a dream that was not fulfilled because of dream thieves, and suddenly the occupation launched a brutal aggression against my beloved city and there were many dead, the number of which reached 30 thousand dead, as if 30 thousand dreams that could have been fulfilled ended with a bullet and missile from an airplane or the demolition of a house on its residents. The whole world heard about what happened to Gaza, and we are part of Gaza

But the house was bombed and we were all dispersed. We no longer had a home that brought us together. We used to see each other at home every day. This became something impossible for us to see my brothers at home except after a month of communications, coordination, and great risk.

I am writing this letter to you while the aggression, war and mass genocide are still ongoing. The world has described this war as a war of extermination against a people who deserve to live in their land in peace...

Therefore, I ask everyone who reads my story to help us with this amount, or to participate in a newsletter, or to strive to do good deeds. It is possible to transfer my story to institutions that help us in building the house only..

I conclude my story with the words of the poet Mahmoud Darwish:

لقد كان هناك بيتنا ... في قطاع غزة

احيكم بتحية الإنسانية التي وجدنا من أجلها أنا وعائلتي لسنا متسولين ولكن حلت بنا النكبة والكارثة وأنه في يوم 25 / يناير/ 2024 وفي الساعة السابعة صباحاً قصف منزلنا وتناثرت جميع الذكريات التي بنيناها انا عائلتي وأشقائي إخواني المتزوجين وتناثرت الذكريات وأصبحنا بلا ماؤه وذهب جميعنا اقصد 30 شخص من افراد عائلتي يبحثون عن مأوه لكي يقيهم البرد القارص والأمطار الغزيرة.... حياتنا أصبحت ليست مثل الماضي اصبحنا نتصعب في الحصول على أي شيئ حتى الماء الذي كان متوفر في بيتنا اصبح من الصعب والنادر الوصول له... سأحدثكم عن بعض أفراد اسرتي التسعة لي أخوة من ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة وعددهم 2 يوسف البالغ من العمر 34 وأفنان انثى تبلغ 30 سنة هؤلاء بشر مثلنا مثلهم لهم الحق في الحياة كان لهم غرفة من البيت يعيشون فيها ويمرحون كان لهم حمام يقضون حاجتهم فيه حتى قضاء الحاجة على سبيلهم أصبح صعب لأنهم من ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة الأمر ليس سهلأً جداً... وأما أمي وأبي البالغين من العمر 68 سنة هم كبار واشتعل الرأس شيبا ووهن العظم منهم بنو لنا البيت وطوال حياتهم كانوا يحلمون ببناء بيت لقد جمعوا المال من خلال العمل أدخار المال طوال فترة عملهم وعندما خرج لسن التقاعد وضع جميع ماله الذي كان يدخره في بنا البيت الذي كنا نحلم به والذي كام يحلم ابي ان يبني البيت ثم يزوج جميع أبنائه ولقد فعل ذلك وقدر رأى ابي احفاده البالغ عددهم 25 حفيد كانوا يسكنون في نفس البيت الذي قد دمر وقصف... النكبة لم تقتصر على البيت فقط فجميع أخوتي كانوا يعملون في محال تجارية ومنهم من يعمل سائق تكسي ومنهم من يعمل في مؤسسة جميعهم اصبحوا بلا عمل لأنه النكبة لم تقتصر على البيت والعائلة فقط فهذه نكبة كبيرة جدا لقد مدرت مديتنا التي كانت جميلة العالم كله يسمع في قطاع غزة الذي يعاني منذ 16 سنة من الحصار الظالم من كل جوانب الحياة.. أما أنا الذي اكتب القصة واسمي صهيب البالغ من العمر 28 سنة، لقد تخرجت من الجامعة بعد أن نهيت درجة الماستر في الإدارة من أحدى الجامعات في قطاع غزة وكنت متوفق في كل شيء عندما كبرت كان يجب عليا أن ابني مستقبلي وأبني بيت لكي اسكن واتزوج فيه لقد عقد قراني في 10 / سبتمبر/2023. بعد أن قمت بالعمل الشاق طوال حياتي وفي العمل وإدخار راتبي المتقطع ليس دائم وقمت ببناء وتجهيز البيت وقمت بالتجهيز لكي اجهز البيت من معدات للمطبخ وغرف النوم وكل شيء يلزم في البيت وفي المقابل كانت خطيبتي أيضا تجهز لموعد الزفاف الذي كان مقرر عقدة في تاريخ 23 /11/2023 ولكن هناك حلم لم يتحقق بسبب سارقي الأحلام، وفجأة قام الاحتلال بشن عدوان غاشم على مدينتي الحبيبة وأصبح هناك الكثير من الموتى الذي بلغ عددهم 30 الف قتيل وكأنه 30 ألف حلم كان يمكن أن يتحقق انتهى برصاصة وصاروخ من طائرة او بهدم منزل على ساكنيه لقد سمع العالم كله بما حصل لغزة ونحن جزءاً من غزة ولكن قصف البيت وجميعنا تشتت لم يعد لدينا بيت يجمعنا كنا نرى بعضنا في البيت كل يوم اصبح هذا شيئ مستحيل أن نرى اخوتي في البيت إلا بعد شهر من الاتصالات والتنسيق والمخاطرة الكبيرة.. أكتب لكم هذه الرسالة ومال زال العدوان والحرب والإبادة الجامعية قائمة لقد وصف العالم هذه الحرب بأنها حرب إبادة لشعب يستحق الحياة العيش في أرضه بسلام ... لذلك ارجوا من كل من يقرأ قصتي أن يساعدنا بهذا المبلغ أو أن يشارك في نشرة أو يسعى في فعل الخير من الممكن تحويل قصتي إلى مؤسسات تساعدنا في بناء البيت فقط.. وأختم قصتي بقول الشاعر محمود درويش: سلامٌ على أرضٍ خلقت للسلام وما رأت يوما سلاما.. شكرا لكل من ساهم ودعمني صهيب أبو سمرة دولة فلسطين _ قطاع غزة واتس اب 0097295107419 هاتف 00972595107419 أيميل: [email protected]
