Campaign Story
Humbly seeking your help for medical assistance for our Mama’s chemotherapy sessions. Just recently (August 27, 2020), our Mama, Clasol Michelle M. Cruz, suddenly experienced severe stomach pain and got admitted at the hospital. After several laboratory test, she was eventually diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer (Pancreatic Head Adenocarcinoma with Duodenal Extension with Pulmonary Metastasis). Sadly, cancer has already spread to her intestines and lungs.
She’s currently at home, with several pain medications (morphine, fentanyl citrate patch, tylenol, pregabalin in 50 & 75 mg) to ease her severe stomach pain. We also found out that she has become diabetic because of her cancer (pancreas secrete the body’s insulin). Thus, we have to monitor her CBG 3x a day before meals and inject different dosages of insulin glulisine when needed (plus her other maintenance insulin glargine every evening). Her maintenance medicine approximately cost Php 30,000 php per month.
Unfortunately, we have already used her HMO coverage and exhausted all our savings. This has left us under a huge debt due to hospital bills and her incoming chemotherapy sessions.
As per her Oncologist, she needs to undergo 12 chemotherapy sessions wherein each session costs Php80,000 (medicines plus professional fees).
Despite that, we cannot let our Mom go without putting up a fight. Hence, we are seeking for your assistance to help us cover her chemotherapy sessions and maintenance medicines.
Any amount will help us immensely and will be highly appreciated.
