Help Raise Funds For #Assamfloods

This is a campaign is to raise funds for the victims of the recent Floods in Assam that affected More than 30 districts in Assam are reeling under server floods. Victims of Assam nearly 43 lakh of them - need your help.

Dear Friends,

An official of the Assam State Disaster Management Authority on July 15 said that 4,157 villages in the 30 districts have been affected. A total of 42,86,421 people have been affected due to the floods as of July 15 afternoon.

The official said that close to 90,000 hectares of agricultural lands have been affected due to the floods, some with standing crops on them.

The government has pressed the National Disaster Response Force and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) to help the marooned people in different districts even as Army has been called in to assist the civil administration in relief and rescue operations in different parts of the state.

Over 10 lakh animals have also been affected.
