MY Cousin Brother Pritam Saha ( is only 22yrs ) is heavily injured in Head (Brain) and multiple fracture of diff. body parts due to head on collision with a heavy loaded truck while riding on bike in santipur returning from his Catering service.

His skull breaks into 15 pieces .Some pieces dipped in the periphery of his brain. One of the pieces dipped in the main vain through which blood flows in the brain. Doctor suspected there will be some torrential bleeding while doing the operation to remove that piece. So they call us to arrange for blood.

Face skeleton is brutally fractured, just like someone hits and hits on his face by a piece of stone. Right hand bone breaks into three pieces. Left leg bone breaks into two pieces. Also doctor suspected there may be Lever damage but still not in the condition of examination.

The accident occurred on 2^nd October -night abuts 12:30AM on National Highway, where he left alone in this condition on roadside up to 4:00AM.Then Patrol Police recover his body and sent to Fulia Hospital with the help of local people.

After did some First aid there, Fulia hospital referred him to Ranaghat Hospital. From where he was further referred to N.R.S. Medical college Hospital,KOLKATA where he left without any medical treatment upto 6:00PM due to lack of proper doctors as this is our festive season and they spent holiday out of my state.

So, already more than 12 hours was over without treatment. Also as time passes, his condition was seen very badly to worse and worse. So we decided to admit him in a Medica superspeciality hospital. And still now he is in there in medical treatment & under medical supervision of a Doctors team- ‘DR.L.N.Tripathy, DR. Jain & DR.Basu”.

He lies on the same bed ,taking oxygen continuously there, body is fixed.Hands are hanging. eyes are close almost in 24 hours,very often to open, supply of foods by machine….

Oh! God, It’s unimaginable. I Cannot write by words.

Ok . they did start his medical treatment in a hurry., CT SCAN 3D SCAN, OTHER SUPPORTIVE MACHINE ,ventilation support etc.TO MAKE HIS LIFE SAVE.

They did a very costlier operation to remove the skull piece from his brain. We the neighbours helped him to bear the cost of the operation in this time.

We also did his operation for feeding & continuous supply of Oxygen through his trachea. He is in CRITICAL CARE UNIT from 3rd Oct and from then he lies on the same bed in CRITICAL CARE UNIT. His Eyes are fixed as orbits are fractured.

According to Doctor Post Operation treatment is very very very important and it is much costlier than operation cost also as he needs longtime Observation & treatment without which he can be in Coma or very abnormality or death of Brain. So it needs about 8 to 12 months medical observation and treatment.

After operation to remove the skull pieces he is attacked by meningitis.According to doctor there is no actual antibiotic of this disease.Everyday two antibiotics given to him of which cost is 400$ (21000/- in Indian money).

His everyday treatment is very very costly about 1000$ (approx Rs. 62000/ per day in Indian money) in medicine except other cost

We cannot afford such costlier treatment .It’s totally unbearable to us.

He has no medical insurance. So all the cost will be beared by us.

His medical bills are piling up day by day. We are in utter confusion about continuing such costlier expenses and the result becomes deadly.
