Meet “Poopy”. A stray dog who was found injured near a village in the Southern part of Luzon, Philippines last Dec. 28th. According to the local folks, Poopy got hit by a van the previous night and had been unable to move since. A concerned family took him home for the night and was rushed to the vet the following day. There they found out that the poor dog sustained 2 fractures on the hip. If they will only rely on self-healing (which will take about 3-4mos.), Poopy could never walk again. Thus, doing the surgery is the best option for him to be given the chance to walk once more. However, the surgery alone costs approximately ₱30,000 to ₱40,000 (~US$550 to US$800) because bone plating is very much needed.

Those who found Poopy are more than willing to take care of him and his needs but are seeking help financially. This was the reason that compelled me to create this campaign as it’s apparent that it’s going to be a long road to recovery. It’s also besides the fact that I’m a dog owner myself and I just can’t imagine if this would happen to her, God forbid.

Here are the X-ray results:

The bone with the upper arrow, has misaligned with that of the bone with the lower arrow.

The fractured/broken bones.

Lastly, a copy of the vet findings.

I hope that there will be kind souls out there who can help. I only indicated the estimated cost of the surgery. For those who do not have a Paypal account, please send me a message so that I can provide you my bank details. No amount is truly too small. Thank you all in advance!
