The Philippines is reeling under the Covid19 pandemic. Inadequate government assistance, loss of jobs and income, declining economic conditions have resulted in many people having no food on their tables. This campaign is targeted at raising funds to support community pantries all throughout the National Capital Region. The community pantry is a designated place in accessible street corners or public areas where food tables will be set up and non-cooked food will be displayed. People can avail of free food items such as rice, vegetables, canned goods and other non-cooked staples. The money raised will purchase the initial stocks of food products. The community pantry will be sustained by a parallel campaign of seeking local donations (preferably in kind and not cash) which the donor can then bring to the pantry himself. The slogan of this campaign in Tagalog is "Kumuha ayon sa pangangailangan. Magbigay ayon sa kakayahan." Literally this means "Take according to your need. Give according to your capability."
