Hello,

We are a young family with a wonderful 2 year old daughter, awesome 10 year old dog and even more awesome 10 year old cat and we all live in excellent harmony… BUT, as usual in such a story, not everything is as prosperous as we would like it to be.

Once my daughter came into our lives, our priorities turned upside down and we started thinking not only about ourselves, our own life and progress, but also about our child’s.

Just like every other parent, we would like our daughter to ne raised in calm environment for both her and us, her parents, somewhere with good education, good healthcare, etc.

Sadly, even one of the things listed is absolutely impossible in the country we live in.

The political climate is getting worse every single day, the crisis in the country is getting deeper and deeper, people live on the verge due to lack of work, low salaries, bad healthcare, corrupt judiciary, etc.

Wishing the best for our daughter, we made the tough choice to emigrate in search of a better life for our entire family.

The country we have chosen after a long research in the Internet and with friends and acquaintances is Norway. After I visited Norway in person starting the first step to our new life – searching for a job and place to stay in Norway – I just fell in love at first sight and that confirmed my desire to move to Norway living and working there.

I spent 3 wonderful months in Stavanger where I had the chance to meet a lot of nice people receiving a lot of precious advice, getting to know the culture and people even better. Unfortunately, the period when I decided to make this step was in the midst of the so called pandemic and my attempts to find a job were unsuccessful. But the biggest issue was not my failure in finding a job, but the distance between my little daughter and me, because she is getting familiar with the world only now and she needs both her parents most of all.

That is why I decided to come back home and try saving enough funds, so that we could all go back to Norway and face the difficulties of finding a job together.

Sadly, working here and having extremely low salary doesn’t give us a chance for this to happen too soon.

6 months later we saved enough funds, so that our entire family would live peacefully for at least 4 months, while looking for a job.

The only funds we still don’t have are for the residence that we should rent. Those of you, who have been to Norway or who are Norwegian citizens, are aware of the rent prices, and in comparison with the ones in the country we live in, they are extremely high now.

If one month rent for a property suitable for a family of three + cat + dog is 300 Euro a month on average at home, then it is approximately 1000 Euro a month in Norway, and 3 months of deposit have to be paid when signing a contract in Norway.

The task to save these funds is definitely not impossible, but it surely is time-consuming to us and we wouldn’t want to lose another year – first, because of the situation we are in here and second, because we would like our daughter’s transition of countries and languages to happen when she is in her most suitable age.

We will be grateful to anyone who can help, regardless of the amount. In case you live in Norway and you are able to help us not with funds, but in any other way (help in finding a suitable and less expensive home, help in finding a job, etc.), we will be glad if you contact us.

You can see pictures in the post that I took during my stay in Stavanger and any of you who made a minimal donation will receive a personally photographed and signed from our daughter postcard of Norway in appreciation.
