At least 21 million people in Indonesia live on less than $1 per day. 87 million children and adults struggle to get enough food and 1 in 3 children under the age of 5 suffer from stunting as a result of inadequate nutrition. Worryingly, 4.4 million children in Indonesia are orphans or have lost one parent. As a result of these statistics and many others, 4% of Indonesia’s children will not live to see their 5th birthday.
