Dear Friends, thank you for your time reading this campaign.

I am Orlando Cabanban Jr., a husband and a father of a 4-year old girl.

Last December 24, 2018, I was having an Intracerebral Hemorrhage (ICH) on my left basal ganglia (part of the brain).

In the evening of December 24, 2018, when we are about to go to sleep, I noticed that my right leg, arm and hand got numb. I told my wife about it and so, she immediately acted on it, call my supervisor for help and they both brought me to the nearest hospital in Iligan, Philippines. That is when the doctor found out that I was having a type of stroke, which is known as Intracerebral Hemorrhage (ICH), which is caused by bleeding within the brain tissue itself (https://mayfieldclinic.com/pe-ich.htm) – in my case, the bleeding occurred on my left basal ganglia, a group of structures found deep within the cerebral hemispheres. Because of this, my right leg and right arm were paralyzed and so, I was forced to stop working.

The doctor prescribed me with maintenance medicines such as Zynapse 500mg, at Php80 each, and Entresto 200mg, at Php143 each. These are taken once a day. I was also instructed to have a physical therapy treatment, which costs at least Php500 per session, to put me back to good shape and go back to work.

Since 2010, I was already the only one working and providing for my family since my wife was advised to stop working because she was diagnosed with unruptured brain aneurysm. I find it very difficult to meet both ends in terms of providing the financial needs of my family. And suddenly, I was not able to work for them now because of what happened to me and this made me feel so defeated, disappointed, and heartbroken. I was so worried for my family and much more worried on how to acquire these medicines and therapy treatment for me to regain my strength and continue working.

Somehow, my wife managed to support me with my medicines by borrowing money from relatives and friends, but until now, I have not gone even 1 session for my therapy. I really can’t afford to be defeated by this stroke and not provide for my family, especially for my little girl. That is why, here I am still fighting for them and hoping that help will come my way.

In this regard, I am knocking at your door for financial support for my maintenance medicines and physical therapy sessions. I badly need your help for all of these medications. I appreciate any amount you can give me, and rest assured that this will greatly contribute to my fast recovery and for me to go back to work.

Lastly, please include me in your prayers for I need it very much.

Thank you very much and God Bless!
