Finally I have the courage to tell a story about my sweet Oliver. I have been in denial for the past few weeks. I met Oliver at Ampang Park Metro Station on Dec 19. He was very tiny and feral. It took me 2 months to get him re-homed. I love this sweet little cat very much. Then this happened. I thought it was just a fever but then I noticed he just stop eating and not responding to antibiotics. Further diagnostics, x-ray and all revealed accumulated fluid in his lungs. When the doctor drained the fluid and confirmed he's positive of Effusive/wet FIP, I was shocked. FIP is a fatal disease which caused by Feline Coronavirus which is somehow found its way to mutate aggressively.

I cry almost every single day, seeing him suffer causes me a lot of pain. He's been with me for 1.5 years and I'm not ready to let him go.

There is this experimental drug called GS441 that has higher chances of curing this FIP. Can you please help me the medications for my cat, as I heard the treatment would be very costly, one vial of GS441 would cost me around USD100. From my rough calculations, it would cost me around USD3,000 for the medications in additon to USD1,000 for veterinary cost during this 84 days of daily treatment.

I'm from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Thanks again everyone.

I have set up instagram page https://www.instagram.com/oliverthefipcat/ so I could regularly update on his treatment once the fund kicks in.

3rd day of injection

Update posted by Abdul Rahman Zaini at 05:37 am

Today is his 3rd day of injection. Little improvement since the first day, but he's becoming vocal which I think a good sign. The pic attached was taken after his first injection and we did a blood test to. AG ratio is too low at 0.275
