₱58,300raised of ₱1,000,000.00 goal goal
Gloria Orense, "Oya" as her friends and relatives call her, is 68 years old, and lives in the Philippines.
Nanay Oya became a widow at age 42; her husband is survived by his two children who were 11 and 14 at that time. Nanay Oya was able to raise both of her children successfully all by herself. She is a kind and loving mother who is naturally a great housekeeper. She did everything she could to make sure that her children had food to eat on the table and took several opportunities to ensure that they were both well-fed and protected at home.
In the middle of year 2022, she complained a chronic stomach pain and was later diagnosed with H-pylori bacteria which was treated accordingly. It then recurred this year around May but with new symptoms: bloatedness and pain that goes through her back.
After series of tests, the doctors diagnosed Nanay Oya with Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma (Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer). Since it was found out that the tumor is currently attached with a major vein and cannot be removed right away through surgery, she would have to undergo a series of chemotherapy sessions with the goal of having the tumor detached on the major vein. After the chemotherapy is done, she needs to go through a surgery to have the tumor removed and afterwards, radiation therapy will follow.
Her family needs to raise Php 1,000,000 which includes 6-8 sessions of chemotherapy, surgery, radiation therapy and home medications as well. The health card (HMO) that she is currently using has already been exhausted because of numerous lab tests that was done just to diagnose her condition correctly, which includes both outpatient and inpatient procedures.
Nanay Oya would appreciate any help that you could offer, financially or spiritually. Should you prefer to help financially, we are forever grateful and will be praying over your safety as well as shower you with abundant blessings. Thank you.

Follow up consultation, to ER, then admission
Update posted by Jogh Orense at 07:00 amToday supposedly is Nanay Oya's follow up consultation after her first chemo session. However, her BP went low, 80/50, thus, her cardio doctor adviced that she goes to the ER for proper work up. After checking up on her, the ER doctors adviced she stays for admission as they need

Portacath insertion | 17-September-2023
Update posted by Jogh Orense at 06:22 amNanay Oya went on a minor surgery to have a portacath inserted underneath her skin. This will prevent several IV insertions to her veins and just use the portacath as the main passage of all of her chemo meds.
